I was recently involved in the sale of a property with a tenancy issue. Our biggest issue was to fully follow the guidelines of eviction as provided by the BC Residential Tenancy Act and also ensure that we were also re-assured that this was the last we would hear from the tenant. As we all know, tenancy laws all over North America are heavily weighted in favor of the tenant.
We wanted her to sign a waiver and searched online and could not find anything resembling what we wanted to say. Most of the items online were heavy on the side of legalese and we did not want to scare the tenant and ourselves for that matter.
After some heavy duty research, here is what we came up with. Please note that we are not lawyers and do not guarantee that this is a binding document.
