The proposed project, by the Vancouver-based developer Wesgroup, will transform the area bounded by the Barnet Highway, Ioco Road,  Guildford Drive and the Coquitlam border from a collection of 59 semi-detached home and townhouse properties into a dense urban neighborhood with about 2,900 new homes.

Coronation Park is a new detached, condo and townhouse development at Ioco Road & Barnet Highway, Port Moody, BC.

Coronation Park is located adjacent to SkyTrain’s Inlet Centre Station, right on the easternmost edge of Port Moody, next to Coquitlam.

Location

Located in the city core, this is Port Moody’s premier high-rise development site. End users can enjoy conveniences such as Thrifty’s and IGA Shopping Centres, the City of Port Moody Library and Recreation Complex, coffee shops, banks and the 10 acre Rocky Point Park all within 15 minutes walking distance. The  site is within 450m to the Inlet Centre Skytrain Station and 1500m to the Westcoast Express Line which are 35 minutes and 25 minutes, respectively, to downtown Vancouver.


Housing Affordability at Coronation Park

The proposal also includes 175 affordable rental units, 8,000 sq. ft. of daycare space along with 10,350 sq. ft. of retail space as well as 3.4 acres of park space, about 1.5 acres of which would be dedicated to the city as public park and the remainder would be semi-public open space.

Wesgroup has submitted an Official Community Plan Amendment for Coronation Park to permit a mixed-use development with new pedestrian connections, a 1.5-acre park, a range of housing options, new local serving retail, amenity spaces for new residents, a daycare, and public art.
